#LoveWITHAccountability™ believes in the imperative need to completely dismantle the U.S. criminal (in)justice system and abolish the prison-industrial complex. We also believe every victim/survivor must take the avenues that best support their full recovery and total healing. We ask, “Why is calling the police continuously presented as the only solution to the violence that victims/survivors face?” This is deeply troubling when so many, especially those who are BIPOC, are victimized again when the police or any representative of the criminal justice system becomes involved. We believe in and are committed to radical, humane, survivor-centered, accountable responses to the inhumane violence committed against victims/survivors. We reject the often inhumane responses to how to address the violence. Many of the non-exhaustive, alphabetized, hyperlinked list of organizations/collectives listed below are unwavering prison abolitionists, and also vehemently oppose police involvement in response to any form of violence. However, there are several who believe that they must make use of what few resources in response to violence exist while they simultaneously co-create something different for the future.
